Changes In Immigration Policy In Manitoba
News Source: 2013-02-19 16:35:35

Recently, Manitoba’s an immigration policy has been cancelled that since April 1st, 2011, international student who graduates from a two-year or longer college in MB can immediately apply for an immigration visa without work experience.
But, Manitoba is still one of the provinces who have the most liberal visa policies. Even though the above policy is cancelled, international students can apply for an immigration visa according to the policy before April 1st, 2011: after 6-month full-time job, international student who graduates from a two-year or longer college in MB can apply for an immigration visa with long-term employment contract, and work needn’t suit to his/her training.
Additionally, after graduation, international student still can get a 3-year work visa and up to 60 percent rebate on all eligible tuition fees (up to a maximum of C$25,000). Since April 1st, 2012, all international students who study in MB do not need to purchase medical insurance, because MB will pay the bill.
